I love to go on hikes. Often, when I go on a hike, my head is full of thoughts about what I’m trying to solve and what upsets me. For the first ten to twenty minutes I carry on the conversation in my head. If I’m mad, I ruminate on what’s upsetting me; or I continue to think about a problem.
As I get tired from the initial climb, my body gets in a rhythm of breathing and walking. I slowly become aware of the nature that surrounds me. My pace slows and my brain slows as well. With each step, I get calmer and feel more and more at peace.
And then the true shift happens: solutions to problems start to appear, or sparks of inspiration for a new project visit me. I feel my heart opening and a feeling of utter joy and excitement starts to run through me. I’ve come to understand that in those moments, I am plugged into the Divine and I become the co-creator of what I truly want to experience in life.
Co-Creating Depends On Positive Emotion
By allowing myself to feel good, I also allow positive energy to run through me. I am “in the flow,” so to speak. And this is the vibrational frequency we need to get ourselves to if we want to manifest our goals. When we struggle and feel negative emotions, then we resist this divine frequency and hold ourselves separate from it. Therefore, we want to feel as positive as possible all the time.
So what can you do today to feel good? Break away from negative activity and replace it with something that makes you feel better. If you are angry with someone, and reading a book makes you feel good, stop thinking about that person and go read a book. It can be any small activity that doesn’t cost a lot. All you need is a shift from negative to positive.
