In Arizona it is easy to complain about the weather. During the seemingly endless summer months streets threaten to melt in the scorching sun and in fall the temperatures drop so rapidly that we barely have enough time to unearth heavy sweaters to prevent ourselves from freezing.
However, in March and April the weather is absolutely magnificent. The fragile wildflowers bloom and the temperatures linger in the 80s. The nights are cool enough to open the windows and the days are inviting us to spend time outside.
I always make a point of savoring these weeks. I schedule walks in the desert and ask to be seated outside when I go to a restaurant. I open the windows to let the spring air fill my office. I consciously enjoy what I have and as a result feel rich beyond measure.
Increasing our sense of abundance happens on subtle levels. Focusing on that which we love ensures that we feel good.
I invite you to pick an activity today, such as taking a walk, reading a good book or spending time with a friend that reminds you how wonderful it feels to be alive.
